Where Two Rivers Meet features new poetry by Joe Kriss, Rachel Bower and Kayo Chingonyi, inspired by the Anglo Saxon Kingdoms exhibition at the British Library and the communities of Sheffield. The film is narrated by Johny Pitts [Afropean], features broadcaster Silé Sibanda and community eating hub, Open Kitchen Social Club.
"Where do you belong?" was created by volunteers from the Soundkickers music project run by Football Unites, Racism Divides. It was filmed at the U-Mix Centre and other locations around Sheffield. Everyone has something to contribute to society and we all belong here!
As a development of Eelyn’s ongoing body of work inspired by Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, the team compared perceptions of life and death 200 years ago with our understanding of mortality today. The film depicts a conjuring of the Celtic goddess Danu and a creature of her making to explore themes of pollution and renewal.
